Supply Chain (Brexit Customs Support) – Freelance/ZZP

Position: Supply Chain / CS (Brexit Customs Support)

Location: Rotterdam, up to 2 days remote.

Contract: Freelance

Start: ASAP - 12 months (extension anticipated)


Basic Function

Support local shipping offices and customer service organizations by monitoring the completion of customs formalities post-Brexit. Responsible for identifying export deliveries from UK and EU sites to UK customers and confirming completion of customs formalities with customs brokers, haulers, and customers.

Work closely with site and central organizations to ensure new processes after Brexit are functioning and to identify improvement opportunities.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Execute daily shipping reports in SAP to identify relevant export and import shipments.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, shipping offices, haulers, and customers to monitor completion of export/import declarations and confirm ETA at customer.
  • Develop and maintain completion reports to show the status of export/import deliveries. Review daily status with the Tax team.
  • Support shipping offices and customer service teams by following up on unactioned documents or gathering alternative proof of export (C.o.E) to ensure customs compliance.
  • Support customer service teams with Proof of Origin (certificates of origin, ATR, etc.) and provide relevant data to the broker.
  • Provide additional support to the export team where necessary (CSRs and/or administrative support).

Requirements

  • CVs must be in English.
  • English language proficiency required; Dutch optional.
  • University / college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in SAP and MS Office environments.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and under pressure.
  • Customs knowledge or experience is an advantage.
  • Immediate availability is mandatory.
